Bolton Land Trust Intro

Bolton Land Trust
Bolton

My wife randomly asked me yesterday if Bolton was a town with “nothing” to do for CTMQ. Unfortunately for her, this led to a flood of information for which she was not prepared and about which she did not care.

It was Bozrah, not Bolton! Heck, Bolton has a land trust with at least four trailed properties! How dare she!

So Bolton

Bolton’s rural character, easy access to Hartford, strong school system and beautiful countryside make it an appealing place to live. Continuing growth will put pressure on the finite number of open lands remaining, and the Bolton Land Trust wants to help balance growth with preservation by offering landowners creative, cooperative, market-based solutions which honor the personal, family and financial goals of donors and sellers.

I love when a land trust talks about market-based solutions. Let’s hike!

The Preserves and Hikes:

Blackledge Marsh
Bobcat Woods
Castlerock Lane
Edith Toomey Clark Property
Lombardi Ridge Preserve
