CT H4H: Austin Design

CT Hops for Hope Spotlight 9
Austin Design, MA/VT

I’m proud of every part of CT Hops for Hope. It’s continually amazing to me how many people give their unpaid time and energy to the event and the cause. One of my tasks is to help secure sponsors for the event to cover the upfront costs. That way, we are able to donate 100% of ticket sales to the Smith-Magenis Research Foundation. We try to secure sponsors that can benefit from the relationship in unique and interesting ways. Enter Austin Design.

“Architecture for enjoying life.” I love that. That’s Austin Design. While their portfolio includes all sorts of cool commercial and residential projects, the reason you should be reading this is because they helped Zack Adams at Fox Farm Brewery put a state-of-the-art brewery in an old barn. And it’s beautiful. When they weren’t helping Fox Farm, they were busy designing the new Tree House facility in Charlton, MA. That’s right, the building with all the buzz this month? Designed by friends of Hops for Hope! Been to the Alchemist space in Stowe, VT? Austin Design. Northampton Brewery? Yup. Austin Design. Talk about “architecture for enjoying life!”

The new Tree House

I personally love their aesthetic and how they’ve sort of become THE firm to contract with when you want to blow away the collective New England craft beer fan mind. Their attention to detail – anyone notice how the new Tree House incorporates the original Brimfield Tree House? – the quality of their clients, and their focus on the environment and the community is unmatched. We are proud and excited to have Austin Design involved in our 100% charitable brewfest on September 2nd in New Britain!
