Water Trails

January 19, 2022 by Steve 2 Comments

Connecticut’s Canoe & Kayak Water Trails

This page will likely never be complete… nor completed. I’m not yet sold on whether or not I’ll pursue this list myself, but here it is. (The logistics of doing these almost requires two people, which is problematic for me.) If you know of missing trails, please let me know.

These are the true trails as far as I can tell, and not just paddles around lakes or whatever. (Not to diminish that pursuit, but who wants a page with a few picture from a random lake with me saying, “the water is flat and it’s a lake?” I don’t.)

Essex Canoe/Kayak Trail
Housatonic Valley River Trail
Quinnipiac River Canoe Trail
Mattabesset River Canoe/Kayak Trail
Mystic River Water Trail
Norwalk Islands Canoe/Kayak Trail
Old Lyme Canoe/Kayak Trail
Shetucket River Water Trail
Willimantic River Water Trail
Little River Water Trail

Do you need someone to paddle these and report on them? My wife and I are available. LOL Let me know and we can talk.
