When I think of Prospect, I think of the caricature old toothless 49’er prospector. And that was before my friend Matt, who lives in Prospect, told me that whenever he tells people he lives in town he does the toothless arm jive we associate with such caricatures. (For the record, I hope Matt continues to do that forever.)

An interesting thing about Prospect – it’s named Prospect not for gold deposits, but because it sits at a height of land and has some views. As if anyone thinks of Prospect when they want to go check out some autumn beauty spots in Connecticut. But who knows, maybe the PLT properties will shock me when I get around to hiking them.
