Torrington’s Town Trails

Oof, this is a tough one. Torrington – and this is a good thing! – has a few state parks and two of them are connected by the CFPA’s John Muir Trail and the Paugnut State Forest. Fine. No big deal. Except that the town has attached a bunch of spur trails and connecting trails to the state/CFPA trails and given them different names and, well, that makes putting a page like this together a bit difficult.

Torrington also has plans… Grand plans! Plans for all sorts of downtown riverside trails that may be on roads and/or abandoned train tracks and or… nothing. I can’t tell. But I’m excited for Torrington because the plans sound fun. We’ll see how it all plays out over the next couple of decades I guess.
