New Hartford’s Town Trails

New Hartford’s Town Trails

This page was a tough one to cobble together. The confusing nexus of the local land trust – which owns a lot of land but not many trails, a national land trust – who buys land and then turns it over to… the town, I think, in this case anyway… and then the land actually owned by the town of New Hartford.

I consulted many websites and sought the input of a New Hartford friend. There appears to have been many stops and starts with a trail network between some of the properties below. New Hartford is home to a beautiful chunk of the CFPA’s Tunxis Trail, and a large swath of the Nepaug State Forest.

As for these trails… I’ll simply have to get my boots on the ground and see for myself.
