Orange’s Town Trails
I’m eager to hike orange-blazed trails in Orange while eating oranges and wearing my blaze orange safety vest. I won’t, however, be wearing any Syracuse Orange gear. Because Syracuse is terrible and Tyler Olander has more national championships than Jim Boeheim.
Anyway… Orange. A town that has steadfastly held on to it’s agrarian roots in the face of urban and suburban development all around it. Hats off to Orange! The town has a Conservation Commission as well as a land trust, but the two seem to be deeply intertwined, and there doesn’t seem to be much separation between the two entities. As such, developing distinct intro pages for the town versus the land trust has proven difficult.
I do know that most trails are under the purview of the town’s commission though, so this page has almost all Orange trails. I think. I guess I’ll find out.
