Everything Naugatuck
I’ve been exploring and writing about Connecticut since 2006. After a decade, I began compiling CTMQ guides for each town in the state. I plan on “completing” Naugatuck CTMQ-style… as well as the other 168 towns, cities, and boroughs in Connecticut. After all, that is the ultimate goal of CTMQ.
What do you know about the borough most famous for rubber and Naugahyde? You can scroll down for my list of things to do in town. Or, as always, you can click on the town’s tag to see what I’ve done.
If I’ve missed anything in town or if anything has closed or changed, please let me know.

Naugatuck… you’re on notice!

For Naugatuck, perhaps Yankees hero Frank “Spec” Shea, who grew up in town and is now buried at St James Cemetery could be added in? He has a great story, he was an All Star as a Rookie, and runner up as Rookie of the Year only to Jackie Robinson because they didn’t pick one for AL/NL yet – also winning 2 WS games in 1947 as a starting pitcher etc. Additionally he served in the military during WWII. He has the rare gift of not 1, but 2 nicknames – both “Spec” due to his freckles, and also the “Naugatuck Nugget”
