Meshomasic State Forest Intro

Meshomasic State Forest
Colchester, East Hampton, Portland, Glastonbury, Hebron, & Marlborough

I can’t promise you that this page will ever be complete. Yes, I like to be thorough and almost always am, but when it comes to the Mesh… it’s tough. It’s big and it’s sprawling, sure, but most importantly it contains many secrets within it. On top of that, it’s really old.

It was the first State Forest in Connecticut, and the second in the country (Pennsylvania had the first). There are quarries and mines and waterfalls and trails and Nike Missile sites and abandoned roads and nice views and rattlesnakes and… you get the point. Now let’s get crackin’.

All Things Meshomasic State Forest

There is more than the below. I’ll fill it in over time.
