Hunting and Pecking for a Trail
Peckham Park, Middlefield
January 2026
This page exists to simply tell you that this page shouldn’t exist.
When I compile lists, I rely on other sources. When it comes to trailed town properties, that source is often the town. And many towns either ignore their trailed properties or puff up other properties and pretend there’s a trail worth my time.

At the playground at Peckham Park. Rad.
There is a trail at Peckham Park in Middlefield. It’s a wide, flat gravelly walking path around a few baseball and softball fields. It is popular with dog walkers and other townsfolk out for some exercise. Therefore, it’s excellent.
But it’s not CTMQ-worthy. I have created this page to say:
I’ve been there. I’ve checked out the Peckham Park Covered Bridge of course. And if you somehow saw on the town’s website that this was a hiking trail, I’m warning you off of that notion.
That’s it. Enjoy your day.
