Peakbagging Tallies

October 20, 2010 by Steve 4 Comments

Tallywhacker
2001 –

To those of you who don’t need an explanation for this page, let’s have a beer together. For the rest of you… why are you even here? Actually, that sounds mean… Welcome!

This is our ongoing tally of peakbagging lists. I expect and hope mine and Calvin’s ratios will continue to improve. The other two? Who knows.

The goals

I know this isn’t typically how peakbaggers display their numbers. There is a lot of overlap (ex: the NH48 is wholly inclusive in the NE67 which are wholly inclusive in the NEHH and NE111), historical screw-ups (Ex: ADK46 has 4), and unique rules (ex: CAT35 requires 4 specific winter climbs). But you can learn more on each list’s main page I guess.

Note: All peaks climbed before Hoang/Internet/Digital cameras have been forfeited.

As of October 1, 2017

Steve:

50HP (21/51)
NE111 (7/115)
NH48 (3/48)
NE67 (5/67)
ADK46 (1/46)
CAT35 (13/39)
NEHH (5/100)
52WAV (1/52)
T25 (0/25)
NEFF (6/50)
CTCoHP (5/8)
CT17 (2/10)

I think this is a pretty good representation

Hoang doesn’t care about any of this. But maybe Calvin will someday, so here you go, kid…

Calvin

50HP (3/51)
NE111 (0/115)
NH48 (0/48)
NE67 (0/67)
ADK46 (0/46)
CAT35 (0/39)
NEHH (0/100)
52WAV (1/52)
T25 (0/25)
NEFF (1/50)
CTCoHP (2/8)
CT17 (1/10)

Eh, even though she’s probably retired from this nonsense…

Hoang:

50HP (18/51)
NE111 (6/115)
NH48 (3/48)
NE67 (5/67)
ADK46 (0/46)
CAT35 (0/39)
NEHH (5/100)
52WAV (1/52)
T25 (0/25)
NEFF (5/51)
CTCoHP (1/8)
CT17 (2/10)

Hoang happily atop Mt. Marcy, New York’s highoint and NE111 and ADK46

And I might as well do this too, just for completeness…

Damian

50HP (2/51)

ADK46 (0/46)
CAT35 (0/39)
NH48 (0/48)

I just noticed this page. Thanks for the mention. It just so happens I recently put up a post on Rock on Top’s new blog feature about my hiking goals. It’s here.

This is my new sig for hiking fora:

    NE111: 80/115 (67/67, 12/46, 1/2)
    Cat35: 3/39; WNH4K: 16/48; NEFF: 23/50

“I don’t much care where [I get to] –” said Alice, “– so long as I get somewhere,” …
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”

I know how these lists go. I completed the NH4s in 1961 at 18 and just completed the 115/115 WINTER last month at 68. I have also done the 100/100, 115/115 and only Hunter/Slide winter/other in the Catskills. Having done the 100 highest when I was younger, I don’t believe I am up that challenge in winter.
