Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy Intro

February 5, 2016 by Steve Leave a Comment

Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy (formerly Wintonbury Land Trust)
Bloomfield, East Granby, & Windsor

In April 2023 the East Granby, Wintonbury (Bloomfield), and West Hartford Land Trusts merged to form the Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy. These consolidations make sense for a dozen reasons and I suspect we’ll see more of them across the state in the coming years and decades. Now if only Connecticut’s towns would do the same…

East Granby and Bloomfield have a bunch of trailed properties; some pretty darn great, some not so great – but my hometown of West Hartford has exactly zero land trust trails, and I don’t ever expect that to change. (There are still important protected parcels of course.) Let’s hike!
