Wallingford Land Trust Intro

Wallingford Land Trust
Wallingford

Before I began this website all those years ago, I had a fairly low opinion of Wallingford. Then a couple things happened: I visited Gouveia Vineyards and hiked the Mattabesett Trail east of I-91. Both are beautiful and have a definite remote feel. In Wallingford.

My previously uninformed opinion – based on what people had told me – had changed.

So now, I am curious what the WLT has to offer. Especially west of I-91, which is decidedly more populated. Some of the trails look a bit… sketchy. This is going to be fun!

Thanks for visiting the WLT properties in writing this blog. As you may have guessed trail climbing is all done by volunteers are very small group only about four of us are consistently doing it.

We would appreciate anybody who would like to come help us maintain the trails. You can like us on Facebook or you can send us an email at thewallingfordlandtrust@gmail.com.

You will be happy to know that the WLT was able to purchase and preserve 14 acres on the east side of town that hosts a section of the Mattabesett trail. See our website and the property Beseck Ridge.
